Bone Fit™ is a workshop endorsed by Osteoporosis Canada which trains health and fitness professionals in providing assessment and management for individuals living with osteoporosis.

The ultimate goal of BoneFit™ is to empower individuals living with osteoporosis to build confidence in movement, gain functional independence, and improve quality of life using safe, effective, and evidence-based exercises.

After a comprehensive assessment with our Bone-Fit™ trained therapists,  a treatment plan will be created to address each individual’s unique goals, including:

  • safe, effective exercises aimed at promoting global muscle strength and postural stability
  • balance training and education aimed at preventing falls and reducing risk of fracture
  • education about spine-sparing strategies to move safely and confidently in everyday life
  • pain management strategies for individuals who have sustained vertebral compression fractures
